This petition was created in support of Archbishop Cordileone in his work to keep Catholic schools Catholic and for his support for Catholic-Christian values for our young people.
Why is this important?
San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone has proposed that teachers and staff at Bay Area high schools within the Archdiocese accept “morality clauses” that condemn homosexuality as contrary to “natural law,” contraception as “intrinsically evil,” ordination of female priests as impossible, and use of assisted reproductive technology as a “grave evil.” Every staff member is expected to “conduct their lives so as to not visibly contradict, undermine or deny these truths.”
In other words, because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ left us His Church to carry on His work of bringing the Truths of His saving Gospel to all mankind, the archbishop is carrying on the work assigned to him, in fact, by our Lord Himself, by virtue of his office's connection to the time of the Apostles.
